Silver Moon Bakery and Cafe is located on the Upper West Side neighborhood on the northeast corner of 105th street and Broadway Avenue. It can also be conveniently reached by the 1 train off the 103rd street stop.
There are many cafes and bakeries throughout the five boroughs and Silver Moon Bakery is a standout amongst them all.
You guys know how much I love Williamsburg, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that I’m recommending another brunch spot to you from the heart of the Bedford Stop. Like, legit the heart of the Bedford stop because as you walk up the stairs… you’ll see The Station. (Note to readers, this is good for more than just brunch… The Station is no one trick pony!)
Nordic rye bread is dense, full flavored and incredibly well suited to have with your morning coffee or to make a delicious sandwich.
You can purchase some of the best Finnish rye bread from Nordic Breads Company based in Long Island City, Queens.
Walk around the city long enough and you will inevitably come across a Vietnamese sandwich shop. They offer a variety of meats served on a French baguette with cucumbers, pickled carrots, cilantro and some sort of chili mayo sauce.
Artichoke hearts, spinach and white sauce on a pie? This is the slice that made Artichoke Basille’s standout in a city filled with pizza joints (think every derivative of Ray’s Famous Pizza.)
