Sometimes a little luck goes a long way and hard work even more. This could be said for rapper / singer -songwriter Brewsie whose music combines both elements. Coming from the gritty streets of Brooklyn he learned that life is tough and you need to rise above the rest with dignity and style. He found the way to accomplish just that via his love of music.

His first step was singing in a choir where he practiced perfecting his vocal skills. Brewsie prides himself with his raw talent that helped pave the way to where he is now. The genres he grew up  with predominantly came from his family origins in Trinidad and Grenada.  At the age of twelve is when he wanted to take his God given talent to another level. His inspirations ranged from Bob Marley, Bounty Killa, Sam Cook, Ray Charles and R . Kellly.

He wrote his first solid song “Princess Lady” at fifteen years old and many heard it and were impressed. The song he says derived from a visual he was trying to create of an exotic woman in a club like atmosphere. After people hearing this his name began to circulate in his local neighborhood. Even though he is essentially a vocalist / songwriter he also took up the guitar and mastered the congo drums. When he turned twenty-one he released his first mixtape “Versatile Music” which received positive feedback.  The New York music scene began to take notice of this young creative singer who was bound to breakout. This rang true when he was offered an opportunity to perform at the Cara Festival and share the stage with Beenie Man.

“I was very excited to be able to perform at this event and especially with the legendary reggae artist Beenie Man.”

This show began to opened doors for Brewsie at various venues in the Tri-State area like Albany Manor and B.A.M.. He was also invited to be in a video by Gyptian were he did cameo appearances with the likes of Spragga Benz, Rayvon, and Shaggy. Brewsie also was involved in the Shooting Starz Talent Show in Queens, NY where he landed in 2nd place among fifteen other singers. He also performed at a high end fashion show coined  “Bikini Under the Bridge” in Brooklyn where he included a dance crew.

At twenty-three years old he began working with dancehall artist Jahvis Crushroad and many others from Jamaica to Europe. Currently, he is looking to release some new projects like “Wine and Turn” and “Take A Little Time”.  His goal as he is working in the studio is to release an EP soon, including  “Take A Little Time” and some fresh material.  Besides that he is in collaboration with artists Isasha and Curly Q on another of his  projects entitled “Jersey Break”.

Brewise is an artist who is not looking to slow down as he builds on one project and venue after another. He is also gearing to release three videos for this upcoming summer season.
