In an industry where pretty women are a dime a dozen sometimes there is one that really shines through it all. Chelsie Pauletti is becoming that one shinning talent worth a second look. Chelsie made it her business to pursue the difficult web of acting and dancing from as early as four years old. Since then, she has not left her foot off the pedal. She has stayed within her lane and even though there have been obstacles and hardships she kept forging ahead.
Chelise first got her start performing on cruise ships after graduating college. She traveled the world performing select Broadway musicals for thousands of people. Along the way, she learned how to become a dance captain / swing while developing key relationships globally. When it was time to come ashore and tackle Broadway in New York the pandemic hit, and her dreams came to a screeching halt. Even though she had to take a break due to the pandemic she returned and joined the Actors Equity Association and began auditioning for Broadway, National Tours, and TV/Film projects. She landed a part on a show called “Broadway Backwards” produced by BC/EFA. Dancing and acting have always been a big part of her life and she offered her take on which she prefers doing most.
“The two go hand in hand. Dancing is and will always be my #1 and my greatest passion. It can be both performative and a therapeutic form of self-expression, but in a show (especially a musical) it’s very difficult and boring to do one without the other. As far as straight acting like in a play or on film, I enjoy that as well. I will say, the transition from acting on stage to acting on camera is a tough one. That was actually very difficult for me to learn at first, because it is such a different skill. In the theatre, you must perform big and exaggerated so your emotions hit the person in the last row of the balcony, whereas on film, the camera picks up every little eye twitch and can essentially see the wheels turning in your brain.”

Chelsie also has another side of her which comes in the way of poetry. She published her first book a year ago titled “A Serpent’s Lament”. The book which can be found on Amazon takes on a different side of Chelsie where it delves into a darker side hence the title. Her two biggest influences are Charles Bukowski and Jim Morrison. She is already amid completing her second book which is set to hit shelves early 2025.
“I write a lot about the war between the heart and the mind that we all go through internally throughout life, and those trying moments where we must choose which one to follow. It’s very philosophical, I suppose.”
On the horizon Chelsie is studying screenwriting and working on a new short film that she was unable to discuss just yet. She is woman on a mission to make a significant mark in the industry whether it be on Broadway or on the silver screen.
