Kenneith due to him growing up surrounded by music, there was no doubt it would become his journey. At the tender age of seven years old he had his first real taste of performing in front of a crowd at his church in South Carolina. He would soon study at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kenneith took classes in classically trained voice lessons as well as joining other small choral ensembles.
During this time, he was influenced by many legendary artists likeSister Sledge, Cheryl Lynn, Chic, Earth Wind & Fire, Lou Rawls, and Stevie Wonder. While as a teenager he gravitated to other genres like new wave, pop-glam, jazz-pop and dance acts such as Missing Persons, Bangles, Steely Dan, and Expose’. As he approached adulthood again his music tastes shifted to artists like Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars, The Ting Tings, and Charlie Puth. Eventually he returned to his roots of gospel and contemporary Christian with acts like the Clark Sisters, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Shirley Caesar, DC Talk and Larnelle Harris.
He would soon develop his own musical style that are elements of R&B, soul, gospel and pop. In the years that he has been on the music scene he has released two full albums, three EP’s, a remix album and a share of singles. He just dropped a new single titled “Giving You All”. The track is a blend of old school 50’s flavor with a 1980’s R&B touch. Kenneith was inspired by the crooner vibe from acts like The Platters, The Ink Spots, and The Flamingos. The 80’s seed stems from the groove of the track which Kenneith derived from the sounds of Curtis Blow and Shalamar.
“Giving You All is by far one of my favorite songs I have written, recorded, and performed to date. I love the simplicity of it while enjoying the slightly complex vocal harmonies.”
So far, the track has reached 6,000 streams in its short time out and is playing on twenty-seven radio stations. It also made it to 11th on the Top 3K Digital DJ Pop chart. The single was produced by Kenneith and Gal Bushy. The music was arranged by Perrin, Bushy and Stephen Migliore. The track’s foundation was created by Mr. Mig Beats and recorded at Room 2 Recording Studios in Atwater Village, California.
Only recently he took part in The Melodic Heart & Soul Tour which will run into 2027. He has opened for such acts like the Bus Boys, The Untouchables, Bow Wow Wow, and Larry Dunn (original drummer of Earth Wind & Fire). Presently, with the tour he is focusing on the east coast, southeast, and Midwest.
In October Kenneith is gearing up to release an ongoing project titled “Rolling With the Remixes Vol. 2” and another full album in spring of 2027. In addition, he is planning a web series and penning his first book. Kenneith seems to be in high gear and not letting off on the pedal. “Giving You All” is one of many inspiration projects that will leave any musical lover hooked.
