Earl Grey Gin Cocktail

On a recent trip to Cape Cod, I brought along a number of different spirits so I could play bartender for my friends. On the menu were Pimm’s Cups, Negroi’s and something I had never tried in a cocktail before; Earl Grey Gin by Corgi Spirits in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The resulting cocktail was simple and quite delicious. In essence it was a boozy version of an Arnold Palmer which is 1/2 iced tea and 1/2 lemonade.

I free poured (we were on vacation) Earl Grey Gin over ice. I then added store bought lemonade (again, on vacation) and then a generous sprig of mint that I did a quick little slap to release the oils. A quick stir and this incredible gin cocktail was ready to serve.

The drink was well received and we went from 1 full bottle of the Corgi Gin to a very empty bottle rather quickly which was a good indicator to bring a reserve bottle next time.
