Singer Songwriter Andie Case Breaks Out With New Single “Loser”

By Nick Christophers

It is never easy to branch out on your own at a young age but artist, Andie Case, did just that. At the not so tender age of 18, she ventured out on her own to the bright lights of LA to find her place in the world. She took her love of music and desire to embrace it with much fervor and headed to California. Even though she did not have any formal training, through trial and error she mastered the guitar and her lyrical skills. Andie began her musical journey by recording covers of top 40 artists.

“My first covers were stripped acoustic versions of some of my favorite top 40 artists at the time. I’ve always loved hearing songs striped because it really shows how amazing the song is by itself. There’s nothing to hide behind. Just a good ass song.”

Andie has been performing in front of crowds for a good ten years so far and has not let up. In that time she has been inspired by such acts like, Bibi Bourelly, the band Camino, and Jessie Reyez or Raye. Her knack of drive and ambition garnered her 1.4 million YouTube subscribers and over two hundred million video views. This only was the tip of the iceberg when she won the $1 million grand prize in Usher’s Megastar competition, received MTV’s Cover of the Year award, reached the iTunes Top 100, and toured throughout Europe and Asia.

“Not just the win but the experience of it all, I met some amazing people and got to travel to the UK for the first time. I have so much gratitude for the opportunities that these covers have given me.”

Outside of the covers she has been working on a debut EP called “Show Me Yours, I’ll Show You Mine”, which will be dropping this month. Only recently she released a single that will be featured on the EP, titled “Loser”.  The song is a testament to her long journey on the music scene and her most heartfelt experiences. The project comes off the heals of an earlier release called “Better Days”.  All her original works are first derived from her acoustic guitar and soon flow afterwards. The new single “Loser” delves into personal discovery and a time to heal and become stronger. Her music seems to fall into the indie pop genre.

Now Andie is gearing up to release the EP and set up live shows, doing weekly streams and churning out new content. It is without a doubt that Andie will surprise new and old fans with her unique vocals and touching lyrics that anyone can relate to.
