Feifei Yang has come very far in her career as a musician / producer. Hailing from the exotic nation of China she has managed to bridge the gap between East and West with style. Her knowledge of music and business is impressive. She is not only the president of FFY Arts Production but also a digital art and anthropology researcher at Pratt Institute.
Her passion for music and developing her brand has proven to be rewarding. In her native land she was a gold medal winner at the Beijing National New Talent Competition. One of her prized milestones was being the first Chinese artist to perform at the New Year’s Eve Countdown Stage at Times Square in 2017. Her name became well known within cultural and political circles. So much so she was awarded the Distinguished Contribution Award from New York State and New York City governments.
“I am an artist myself, and I received my master degree at Pratt Institute for Arts and Cultural Management. During my experience as an artist I also trained to be a future leader in the arts and cultural scene, I highly feel the talents need someone who has professional knowledge to help them in their career development.”
When it comes to her singing she had already graced the stages at venues like Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Barclays Center, the United Nations, CBS, WNBC and at New York Fashion Week just to name a few.
She has made it to those stages by playing the Erhu as well. Through her music she has released an album and singles like “Dancing Strings”, “Vermillion Bird” and “Gu·Ran”. Only recently did she release a pop video entitled “Tug Of War” which fused Chinese Erhu with American Pop music a unique and creative combination. That particular single won the Global Music Awards for Popular Music and female singer.
With all this knowledge and talent Feifei founded FFY Arts Production and Consulting. The company specializes in serving artists with planning, production, packaging and promotional services as well as career development. Even before founding her company she has been producing and directing concerts and events for the past three years. She has already showcased artists at shows and galas worldwide. Feifei looks to mesh the US and Chinese markets for audiences everywhere.
Her shows at Carnegie Hall have sold out every time; only just recently on September 29, 2017 did she produce a concert there entitled “REFLECTIONS”. The concert was sponsored by Kweichow Moutai — the world’s most valuable liquor company, the leading luxury brand in China. The Kweichow Moutai liquors were imported to the U.S. by Diamond Hong Inc.
She has worked with such artists like; Composer, pianist: Rongxin Peng, Conductor, Percussionist and Music educator: Kyle Ritenauer, Concert pianist: Alexandre Moutouzkine, The Charm Ensemble and her own company. Besides the concerts she has also took part in producing New York flash mobs for CCTV and BTV’s (Beijing Television’s) 2017 Chinese New Year Gala broadcasts.
Feifei is an artist who wears many hats in the entertainment world and hopes to keep building on her numerous accomplishments. To learn more about her company and her upcoming shows visit her on social media.
