George Andreakos has been in love with acting for as long as he can remember. Ever since he was in grade school in Brooklyn he had the “acting bug”. His talent and passion for acting did not go unnoticed as he was casted as a lead or supporting actor in live plays. Yet it came a time when he had to give up acting for a while. He had a full-time job, College and started his own side business so acting did not fit into the equation.
There have been many film festivals that have taken part in the New York area and most of them are very similar in premise. Yet KATRA Films set a different standard where they look to present a unique avenue for all types of filmmakers. The creator Geoffrey Guerrero has been pushing the film series since 2012 and it has grown every year since. The festival is based on promoting tolerance, inclusivity, diversity and social justice.
Sometimes in business you need to take a chance to move up in the world. This would be the case for two ambitious individuals, John Michaels and Craig Truen, whose combined experience was a recipe for success. Craig Truen learned from his father about the real estate business and commercial loans and soaked it all in. He took what he was taught and formed Truen Associates a commercial mortgage broker in 1987. Craig specialized in the restructuring of condo and coop projects as well as spearheading over $600 million in commercial transactions in the metro area.
Lisa has been in the entertainment business for many years and has seen it all. She has weathered the storm that is the music and film industry. Her tenacity and talent is without question one of the toughest around. Her history in the business has been filled with all types of twists and turns but she has never let that deter her drive.
They made their “bones” on stage many eons ago, and lived like kings – then disbanded in 1984. So why after 40 years did this LA rocker band just record their first and only album?
It is without question that this dancing duo is nothing short of amazing. Risa and Ayaka who hail from the exotic land of Japan have wowed crowds everywhere with their magnificent moves. Their flexibility and timing are perfect. Their love of music and dancing is evident as they escape into a dancing void that most wouldn’t comprehend.

Just taking a walk from Penn Station on 34th Street to 11th avenue it would have been impossible not to bump into Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain America or Thor.
