It was another wild and crazy Sunday at the NY Comic Con with thousands of visitors packing the Javits.
Just taking a walk from Penn Station on 34th Street to 11th avenue it would have been impossible not to bump into Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain America or Thor. Attendees paraded down the street in their favorite costumes with style. Passerby’s would get whiplash just trying to decipher whether Halloween came to early.

I scheduled to meet up with Joey Mangano in New York City. He arranges to meet me at STK in the meatpacking district and tells me reservations are under John Carlo at 8:30, it’s a Friday night. I ask him who is John; he tells me he’s a close friend who owes him a night out and that he’s picking up the bill all night.

“For the past thirty years we have helped Veterans with PTSD and or brain injuries. Even though we are poorly funded we keep moving forward. We have worked with Vets from modern times to as far back as WWII. Our goal is help them with their healing. Helping them inventory their injuries. After Margot came in contact with one of our Veterans she was moved to offer her help with this elegant event.”
“I use those medals as examples that anything is possible it’s a great achievement as I’m one of Nebraska’s most decorated special Olympians. But it’s also to show that whatever you dream about and work hard at it you can achieve anything. That’s something I push to do whether I’m on the field or with my music.”
