Spring Has Sprung

By Seth Fera-Schanes Better late than never, Spring has come to New York City. The jacket threat level has been downgraded to fleece or wind breaker with an occasional need for an umbrella. Book your flights, train tickets and buses and come on over to the city. The […]

Plant Life In New York City Parks

By Seth Fera-Schanes The 2013-2014 winter doesn’t seem to want to end.  It “technically” did end when we “officially” ushered in “Spring” on March 20th and we actually did have some nice days around that time but nothing has quite stuck. Most New Yorker’s are grinding their teeth […]

You Can’t Do That Here!

By Seth Fera-Schanes New York City, home of the “anything goes” mentality apparently has its limits.  I am not going to use this post to discuss the smoking ban, 20oz soda ban or any other large government initiatives.  Basically, I was walking around and saw a lot of […]

JFK Airport in the Snow

Winter has definitely picked up the pace and today another layer of snow blanketed the city.  I was out at JFK airport this morning and took a few pictures of the planes getting deiced on the tarmac and the surrounding neighborhood.  I have mentioned this before but when it snows in the city you have to jump on the opportunity to take some pics before everything turns into one big grey soupy mess.  The remaining pictures are of Queens and the neighborhoods close to JFK.  Enjoy.
