Picture a path in the city that is both scenic and not congested with tourists and residents. A place like this exists on the Hudson River Greenway if you start at 125th street in Manhattan and head north.
You can access the path right off the 1 train at the 125th street subway stop. Walk a few minutes west past Dinosaur BBQ and Fairway Grocery store and you will be met with a panoramic view of the Hudson River and New Jersey.

Late night music in a small venue has always appealed to me. The intimate atmosphere and energy that moves through the crowd when a solo artist or group is deep into their set is electrifying. This led me to look for music spots around the city and one I had long heard about was Bill’s Place on 133rd street in Harlem. When I had family come into town one weekend I made my move and got us tickets.

We have been inundated with books, films and TV shows on the subject of the Mafia over the years. Wives, girlfriends and daughters have taken to the pen to expose their experiences. Yet many of them have either “sugar-coated” their stories or they really had no knowledge of “the life.”
One of the earliest books that delved deep into the life was “Mafia Marriage” by Rosalie Bonanno, who was married to Salvatore Vincent “Bill” Bonanno, the son of Cosa Nostra boss Joseph Bonanno.
I went through the Full Access NYC instagram feed and pulled 32 of our favorite photos from 2015. We started the year with some real cold and snow. Spring and Summer allowed us to get in some community gardening, fishing in Central Park and nice bike rides along the Hudson River. Fall brought vibrant colors and neighborhood exploratory walks. Winter came again but has been mild and allowed us to get in some additional outdoor activities before our annual 2 month hibernation for the start of 2016.
The sounds of New York drift up from the street through the open window. At 7pm, that means rush hour noises, the sounds of cars and trucks rushing by, the sounds of horns honking when their movement stalls.
Inside the dance studio, the sounds and movements come from a different island.
We have heard of NY Comic Con, Eternal Con, NJ Comic Con and now we have Winter Con. The geeks are coming out in force. The popularity of comic, digital media and collectibles have become more prevalent in the past few years. Currently almost every season there is a new Comic Con. The largest and most popular is the NY Comic Con that is during October, Eternal Con which is building steam is in the summer and the NJ Con is in November and Winter Con wraps it up in December.
