Joe Gawalis: Producer and Director Growing with Each Take

“It was an amazing experience, interning for a small company that works with public access television allows you to really get hands on experience in television production. I was the one operating the cameras, setting up the lighting, helping with the editing and learning how a production is formed from concept to distribution. Being a part of each of those stages taught me the fundamentals that still help me to this day.” Joe Gawalis

The Fulton Fish Market was established in 1822 in New York City and located for the majority of its existence in lower Manhattan.  Starting in 2005, the market moved up to Hunts Point in the Bronx.

Best Arctic Char Burgers

A recent trip to the New Fulton Fish Market yielded a great purchase of an Arctic Char.  Not only was the fish incredibly fresh but it cost $5.90/lb.  The fish was just over 3 pounds and came to a total of $18.  This same fish in a market in the city would cost around $15/lb and in a restaurant could easily be over $20 per plate.  (Editors note: I did take a cab to and from the market at 3am and am not factoring in the cost of both those trips.)

Model and spokeswoman Sophia Manolis decided to create a caddy service of models who are knowledgeable about the game. The organization Green Girls Golf began in an effort to host major events specializing in golf outings.

Green Market Meals: Baked Flounder with Sauteed Agretti and Fresh San Marzano Tomatoes

By Seth Fera-Schanes I wanted to make a little Mediterranean lunch today and put this dish together. I like the delicate flounder with the hint of lemon of the zest. The Agretti is crisp and adds a nice contrast to the fish. Finally, the tomatoes add a nice […]
