By Seth Fera-Schanes If I were to tell you I went into a store the other day and described it as having a “ripe,” “stinky,”pungent” or “penetrating” smell what would you think?  Chances are you would not form a favorable opinion.  Unless of course, I followed up that I […]

Street Art in Williamsburg Brooklyn

Local artists have been finding space all around Williamsburg to add their artwork.  There are some great pieces in the neighborhood and I would highly recommend spending a few hours walking around and taking some pictures.  If you are coming in from Manhattan, just ride the L train and get off on the Bedford stop in Brooklyn.  You can find some of the art on North 14th street and Wythe Avenue (or in the general area.)

Beyond Tagging – Street Art in Williamsburg

Political statements, humor, The KFC Colonel are all part of the experience as you walk around certain areas of Williamsburg, Brooklyn and take in the work from local artists.  These pieces adorn the sides of vacant warehouses, fences and any other stationary objects in sight.  It is worth getting a group of friends together to spend some time in the neighborhood and get some pictures to share with non New Yorkers (or your instagram account.)

Brooklyn Street Art

If you live in the city and have a weekday off, or just want to skip work for the day then head over to Williamsburg for some great street art photos.  Just walk a few blocks away from the main retail area of Bedford avenue and you will see that local artists have been adding murals and characters to the sides of warehouses in the neighborhood.  The artwork is really well done and would be great to add to your portfolio.

Is ACME Smoked Fish Open To The Public?

ACME Smoked Fish Co., located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn has been in operation since 1906.  I discovered the factory when I was walking around the neighborhood and saw a line of trucks with the ACME label.  I also started smelling a nice mix of brine and sweet smoke in the air which led me to the doors of this NYC institution.
